The Lord of the Rings and X-Men star turned 76 last month and is acutely aware of his mortality because he has seen many friends die in recent years. McKellen says he decided to put preparations in place for his death by drawing up a running order for his memorial service, which he hopes will take place in a large theatre.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has issued an Amber Alert for two young children and their 24-year-old mother, believed abducted by a 28 year old man in a black Chevy Suburban. CBI said that Francheska Tafoya, 1-year-old Naveana Marrufo, and 2-month-old Ramon Marrufo were last seen at about 10 a.m. around East 40th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard in Denver. Both of the children have black hair and brown eyes, investigators said.
